Remedy Burger: Staunton, VA

The last stop on our ladies’ weekend was Staunton, VA. This is a nice small town to walk around with various shops and restaurants. A quick mention for those who like baked goods. Reunion Bakery & Espresso is a nice place to stop at for bread or a quick snack/ breakfast with coffee (and all those other non-tea caffeine beverages with coffee beans involved).

Staunton has great local stores to shop in. There’s even a small grocery store with a cafe and live music. My favorite store was Medieval Fantasies Company because of the store owner. He was in character and had taken on a Medieval accent. I wished my son was with me to experience the store. So I decided to “adopt a dragon” for him; which he loved.

After walking around for a while, we decided to find a place to eat. We landed at Remedy Burger, and honestly, I think that was exactly what we needed.

I decided on creating my own burger with a Martin’s potato roll, double smashed Seven Hills beef patty, American cheese, dill pickles…. and extra dill pickles on the side. We shared bacon cheddar cheese fries with black lime buttermilk ranch and fresh chives. All of it watered in our mouth. So fresh and delicious that we wanted more; but in reality, we had to take the fries to go.

If you want a small town to shop in for a half day, then Staunton is a great option. If you’re up for burgers, definitely stop in Remedy Burger. It’s a step up on chain burger restaurants for sure.

Happy Adventures!
