For months, my kiddo would say before going to bed, “And tomorrow we’re going to Sicily….” Imagine his excitement when “tomorrow” finally came!

In Ali Terme, Sicily we stayed at Il Principe Bed and Breakfast. I found the B&B through Booking.com and did some serious internet digging to find their website to read more about their accommodations and see photos of their rooms.

The location is perfect; just off the main road and has an alley that’s quiet. We never had trouble finding parking in the alley. It would have been tough to find parking daily on the main road for four rental cars.

We rented the whole bed and breakfast for 9 days with our family of 15. It has two rooms that can host 3 people and four rooms that hold 2 people. Our larger room included a crib that my 3 year old fit in, so everything worked out perfectly.

The breakfast food they provided was amazing. There were baked cakes, fresh eggs, meats, bread, cheese, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, milk, and more. When we shared with the owner that we were planning to put together a dinner to eat at the bed and breakfast, they left out plates, utensils, and other things for us to use.

The property was very secure being gated in, and there was a lovely courtyard for the kids to run around in. After reining in my youngster all day, it was nice having a place he could freely wonder.

Today’s Fortnum and Mason tea is Jade Oolong. This oolong tea has an orchid aroma and is very smooth. It’s more on the earthy side but still a good flavor. Happy 23 days until Christmas 😊
