After eating near the cathedral in Ortigia, the family split up to explore one of two places. My husband and son joined the group who went to Ortigia beach.

The photos made the location look beautiful. But looking down at the beach may have been the best part. To get to the beach you have to walk down many stairs. If you’re carrying a stroller and bags, that may be a difficult task.

The next struggle is the size of the beach. It’s rather small and can get crowded quickly. Finally, the water is full of large rocks. Not small pebbles, but large rocks that make it difficult to walk around on. My son didn’t care. He had a blast!

He also was thoroughly tired after the beach and enjoyed a snooze in his stroller on the way to the family meeting place.

Bringing in day 15 is Fortnum and Mason’s Breakfast Blend. This is made up of pure Assam leaves grown in Northeast India. Kind of makes me wonder why they call it a blend when there’s only one black tea used to make it…. but what do I know…. other than it’s delicious! Especially with a splash of milk.

Happy 10 days until Christmas!
