It was a full day, but the beach at Cefalu was worth the trip! It was the only sand beach we visited while in Sicily; making it the easiest beach to walk and play on.

The beach is small and beloved by locals and tourists alike. It was busy and full of vendors selling different beach items. I will admit I got a bit cross with one seller who just would not go away after my in laws showed they already purchased a beach blanket. Leave us in peace people!

Regardless, it was a happy day for the whole family. The water was calm and shallow; meaning my anxiety for the 3 year old was lower.

In fact, my husband and I left the bambino with our family on the beach and had our only time alone during the trip. I would say it was romantic, but I didn’t realize until after the fact that we were enjoying lunch alone together. Strange, I know, but I kept on wondering how our bambino was doing. Answer: he was having a blast.

We went to Antares Restaurant, just off the beach and across the way. We enjoyed some bruschetta, pasta, and a hamburger with fries. All of it was very tasty. On the ride back to the bed and breakfast, our bambino finished off the hamburger.

Fortnum and Mason’s advent tea:

I will admit to cheating and opening the rest of the teas at once. This is because they just wrote “Christmas” on this tea bag. Well… the back of the advent box says black tea and green tea as “Christmas” options. Turns out inside the box, there were 3 tea bags that claim “Christmas.”

So this mystery “Christmas” tea I’m going to say is actually the Plum, Apple and Cinnamon Infusion. I’m tasting hibiscus, apple and plum so I’m just going to go with it. Happy 5 days until Christmas!
