Ali Terme: 2 Days to Christmas 2023

Continuing with our free day, we took the bambino to a nearby playground in Ali Terme.

We were joined by other kids as the school day let out and had a lot of fun.

Near the playground is a grocery store that I will sing praises of since they helped me find our bed and breakfast the first day in Sicily. The GPS did not take us directly there. Using Google Translate and Google maps, the employees of the grocery store got us to the b&b. To pay them back, our family had to have visited them more than 5 times.

Ali Terme is a nice town to walk, get Gelato and eat. We frequently visited a pizzeria called Camelot, where my son flirted with 3 Sicilian girls through a window. So much “peek-a-boo” happened that they visited him before they left.

We always felt safe in Ali Terme, well, except maybe not while driving. So it was a great home base for us while exploring the eastern coast of Sicily.

In the world of advent tea calendar, today’s Fortnum and Mason pick is Christmas Green Tea.

Since I don’t live on a tropical island, the flavor of green tea with star anise, vanilla, liquorice, and coconut doesn’t sing Christmas to me.

…But my nativity scene does. Have a wonderful Saturday, Christmas Eve Eve, and 2 days until Christmas!
