Welcome to Countdown to Christmas 2024! It’s my seventh year doing a tea based countdown! In 2018 I showcased my teacups with a different tea each day. 2019 I tried some of my friend’s and family’s favorite teas. 2020 I shared some of my favorite desserts to go with teas. In 2021, I created 25 days of a Christmas party through tea mixed with alcohol. In 2022 I explored teas from around the world, and last year, in 2023, i shared our family trip to Sicily. This year, I am going to recap the year with my family’s activities.
Which started at the stroke of midnight January 1st! My sleepy kid had us promise to wake him. I brought him in 5 minutes before midnight, and he stayed asleep. When he heard the countdown start, he popped up like he’d been awake for hours and celebrated the new year.
We watched other parts of the world ring in the new year and enjoyed sparklers outside. Leading to a very successful New Year celebration.
This year’s Countdown to Christmas tea will be a variety of teas from The Republic of Tea. A company I tend to like but haven’t tried a vast variety of teas.
Up first is Republic of Tea’s Hibiscus Superflower tea with the Pineapple Lychee flavor. Wow! It’s so surprisingly good! On the top, you have pineapple and lychee (fruit native to China) that beautifully ends with a sweet berry, citrus, and hibiscus flavor. Yummy! This one will be worth buying.
