Within a month of the April 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, my husband informed me he really wanted to see it in totality (a reminder of something he said years ago). It wasn’t easy to find a hotel reservation, but a trip to Niagara Falls was the result!
Our family, with my sister-in-law, enjoyed views of Niagara Falls. It was their first visit and my second.
Every angle of the Falls was beautiful, but it was more busy and built up than I remember 12 years ago.
We saw the Maid of the Mist going towards Horseshoe Falls. It took a bit of convincing, but I talked our kiddo into taking the ride into the Falls.
But first, we traveled under the Falls to see what it looks like behind them.
He was scared to go down the tunnels, but then…
…. he was pretty happy.
We walked onto the boat and got a few cute family photos before the journey began.
While wearing his fireman raincoat, he held onto the side of the boat and didn’t move until after we finished.
We got pummeled with water from Horseshoe Falls. My husband may not agree, but I think the ride was completely worth it and a check off the bucket list.
For today’s Republic of Tea, I tried Berry Aloe Tea.
This is a lighter flavored herbal tea with berry and citrus notes. The company claims this particular tea is good for skin rejuvenation, detoxing, and hydrating.
