The other part of our trip to Niagara Falls was staying at Great Wolf Lodge. It was so much fun!
We enjoyed a mini vacation staying in one building. There was entertainment. Our son even got to go on stage with an illusionist.
He made his first toy in the gift shop and we enjoyed the food sold in the lodge.
The water park was visited frequently and already part of the cost of staying at the lodge.
The whole trip was also a great bonding time for our son and his aunt since they live so far from each other.
On the morning of the Eclipse, the lodge transformed with decorations.
I would say the decorations made it more fun for the kids but I liked them and I could point to them to try to explain to our son what the Eclipse does.
With our new matching shirts we went outside to enjoy the cloudy solar eclipse.
My husband wasn’t too pleased about the clouds, but i didn’t have to worry about my son forgetting the glasses and hurting his eyes.
We still experienced the effects of the total eclipse. It got completely dark for over a minute.
Our son laid on the ground and acted like he was sleeping. However, after the sun came back out, he was completely confused the rest of the day. He kept thinking it was bedtime, but he was straightened out the next day.
Overall, a great experience for a small family vacation.
Today’s absolutely wonderful tea from the Republic of Tea is British Breakfast. It’s black tea from three different regions; India, Africa and Sri Lanka.
It tastes great on its own, but even better with some milk added. Honestly, if I need a pick me up, I wouldn’t mind starting each work morning with this.
