Chee hoo! It’s Saturday!

After our helicopter tour, we stopped at a couple of waterfalls: Opaeka’a Falls and Wailua Falls.

Along the way, my son got his travel to Hawaii wish. We bought a freshly opened coconut for him to drink. We watched them open the coconut with a machete and immediately drank the coconut water. I will admit it was amazing when fresh, but within 5 minutes of being open, the flavor changed.

At Wailua Falls, my son pet a stray kitten for 5 minutes, and we had to pull him away. I mean, the waterfall is beautiful, but that’s nothing compared to a soft fluffy flea bag that can steal your heart.

Added photo below for emphasis on the waterfall. It had a rainbow at the bottom, too. I give it extra points.

Afterwards, we went to Lydgate Beach. This Beach actually got a repeat visit at the end of our trip. It had a nice playground, and we swam in the area with rocks enclosing it.

The waves of the ocean hit the rocks and not us, making it more family-friendly. We also enjoyed watching the fish and seeing crabs hop from rock to rock.

The Guava Ginseng Hawaiian Islands green tea says it’s invigorating like Wailua Falls. I think it tastes as beautiful as the Falls were with guava leaf, ginseng, and natural flavors. Honestly, I think I’m just a fan of guava since I’ve liked everything I’ve tasted with guava in it.

Bonus! We got snow yesterday which has to be the earliest we’ve gotten it in a long while. It’s so exciting I let my kindergartener stay home from school. Have a fantastic day!
