It’s Tuesday and the day I talk about sea turtles!
Poipu Beach is a wonderful beach to enjoy the sand, beach, snorkeling, and…to swim by sea turtles!
The Green Sea turtles come onto Poipu Beach to sleep usually at night, but we were lucky to see about 10 of them at mid-day!
They were so cute to see and one of the many highlights of our trip!
Even more exciting is while we were in the water, sea turtles swam beside us four times! I do want to caution anyone who goes that you should not touch the sea turtles. Not only is it a $10k fine, but it’s not healthy for the turtles.
We absolutely loved our turtle time!
Across the road is the famous Puka Dog! Not only can you enjoy some fresh lemonade, but you can choose from a bundle of sauces to put on your hot dog. I will say my son got too many sauces, and his bread got very messy and soggy. I enjoyed the Lilikoi mustard on my hot dog. There were so many delicious choices to enjoy!
The tea of choice today is Golden Kava Chai from Aloha Spice Company. It has yummy spices full of turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, and kava powder. Add it to coconut, almond, or whole milk, and you’ve got a spectacular treat.
