Happy Monday and 10 more days until Christmas!

In the summer, my sister contacted me and asked if I was interested in a girls (plus my son) weekend in Lancaster, PA.

Of course I am! How could we not have a fun weekend of swimming, antique, and farmers market shopping?!

The highlight of our trip was eating at a Dutch country smorgasbord. Can’t say anyone but me thought that, but it was delicious!

The real treat was seeing Noah at Sight & Sound theater. It was the 30th anniversary showing of Noah, and it reminded me of my first time going to Sight & Sound with my family.

My son loved watching all the live animals roam the stage and isles. He was interested in the story about Noah, but once the stage turned into the theater being inside the boat, all his attention was on the animals. If you heard a kid yelling out different animals he spotted… that was mine.

I’m so glad to give him an experience I loved in my childhood. I can only hope he looks back on our adventures and thinks of them as precious memories.

From Friendsville, Pennsylvania is Sangria Tea made at Homestead Herbs & Tea. The owner uses as many home or locally grown herbs as possible and blends them into teas. Being a big fan of this, I chose the Sangria Tea with green tea, hibiscus, apple pieces, strawberries, peppermint, and orange peel. This can best be described as fruity and refreshing.
