Happy Christmas Eve! I don’t know about you, but we start our Christmas festivities today! I’m so excited!

For my husband and my 10 year anniversary I gave him a date book of 70 date ideas; some that we’ve talked about doing over the years.

One of the dates was recreating our first date, which we accomplished on our anniversary of being engaged.

We went to Gadsby’s Tavern with the kiddo and enjoyed a delicious brunch. The food was really good and my son was tickled we were eating in the same Tavern that George Washington did many years ago.

After enjoying our meal, we went home to finish off our date recreation by watching Aladdin on the couch. I cannot forget to mention that we managed to squeeze in an awkward back patting hug in the garage for old times sake. Happy 10 years to my hubby!

In Old Town Alexandria near Gadsby’s Tavern is The Spice & Tea Exchange. It’s cozy and smells amazing in the shop. They let you taste test their tea of the day as well. We landed on purchasing the Cranberry Apple Tart herbal tea so our son could enjoy it too. It has a crisp and tart cranberry flavor with a bit of apple and hibiscus on the side. We find it to be quite enjoyable.

Whatever your plans are for the day, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve filled will joy.
