In May, we took a family cruise to Alaska! We started in Seattle, Washington, where we visited Pikes Place Market and the famous Gum Wall beforehand.

Aboard the ship, my mother-in-law loved not having to cook, and my father-in-law enjoyed ice cream every day.

We had many adventures at each port. In Sitka, we enjoyed a hike through the Tongass National Forest and a visit to the Fortress of the Bear.

In Juneau, we took a trip to see the Mendenhall Glacier. Unfortunately, the glaciers are depleting rapidly and will not be there in years to come.

In Skagway, we took the train up to the Yukon which was our favorite excursion. The views were beautiful and it even snowed! We also played with puppies and had delicious food.

Another favorite was sailing through Glacier Bay. It was breathtaking.

There’s so many things we did and not enough days until Christmas to talk about them all. We went on a boat to see sea lions and humpback whales. All around it was just a fantastic vacation that I would recommend to anyone.

The Blackberry Sage black tea from the Republic of Tea is one I’ve had before and is a favorite. It has a lovely blackberry scent and is a nice fruity blackberry tea that doesn’t seem too sweet.

I imagine this would be perfect for a cold, snowy day with a candle and book.

Have a fantastic day!
