22 Days until Christmas 2025: Napali Coast Boat Ride, Kauai

Aloha! My sister and I were over achievers on my first full day in Kauai. After our wonderful waterfall repelling adventure, we met the rest of the family for a 5 hour tour of the Napali Coast through Kauai Sea Tours.

My bald and beautiful husband enjoying the ride

When we started sailing out, the crew came around with drinks for guests to enjoy. There was a range of water to juice, cola, and alcoholic beverages. My son discovered his Kauai favorite drink of Lilikoi Juice. Which we bought a six pack of afterward, and he drank every day.

A fun feature of the boat we were on was viewing nets on the front. You can safely step onto the netting and either lay or kneel and watch the water rushing underneath you. It’s best to do this in a swimsuit because you’re going to get wet. It was an excellent perk, especially for our son!

The best nature part of the ride were all the humpback whales! We must have seen 15-20 and even a few babies!

I’ve added a video above of the whales spinning and splashing. It was so amazing to witness! Previously, we’ve only seen whale tails showing for their deep dive. So this really was a treat!

When the boat turned the corner into the Napali Coast, we were stunned by the scenery. It was my husband and son’s first time seeing it, but no matter how many times you see the Napali Coast, it’s breathtaking. With it being cloudy, we saw sunrays, and the color on the landscape popped.

“The Cathedral” is my favorite area of the Napali Coast, where we managed to take my favorite family photo of the vacation. That will be printed to go on my walls for sure.

After we viewed the Napali Coast, our boat headed back to the dock with a few whale stops along the way. They provided dinner of self-service tacos, salad, and vegetables. Followed by brownies and cookies. Last but not least, before docking, we saw a lovely sunset across the horizon. Ending our first day on a beautiful note. Mahalo Kauai Sea Tours!

So we went to the Napali Coast…. there’s a tea for that! Hawaiian Islands Tea Company makes a Passionfruit Na Pali black tea. Previously, I mentioned Lilikoi Juice. Lilikoi is the Hawaiian word for passionfruit. This black tea has a lovely fruity flavor vibrant with passion.  It brings me back to our boat tour along the Napali Coast, especially since my son found a new favorite drink flavor.
