Happy Memorial Day! I hope you’ve had a great weekend and today is wonderful as well 😊

I wanted to share this Apple Tart Recipe that I made over week because it’s delicious!! This crust is possibly my favorite now. I did not make it completely like a tart because I don’t have a tart pan and I didn’t brush it with apricot preserves at the end. Regardless, still scrumptious! Enjoy!

Apple Tart Recipe
Filling:
4-5 Granny Smith apples; peeled, cored and sliced
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Crust:
1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
10 teaspoons melted butter
Topping:
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
3 tablespoons butter cut in chunks
Melted apricot preserves
1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.) In large bowl, toss apples, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon and vanilla extract. Cover bowl and set aside.
3.) In separate large bowl, whisk flour, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. Add melted butter and stir until dough forms.
4.) Spray 10-11 inch in diameter pie or tart pan with cooking spray. Press mixture into pan until dough is evenly spread and smooth.
5.) Bake crust for 10 minutes.
6.) Remove crust from oven and arrange apples over the crust. Sprinkle the top with granulated sugar. Spread cut butter chunks over tart.
7.) Bake tart about 1 hour, or until crust is golden and apples are tender.
8.) Brush top with apricot preserves and let cool before eating.
Oh, I can’t wait to make this delightful recipe. It’s sounds easy to make and yummy!
Love Always,
Aunt Mary

Dear sister in law I’m going to try it this weekend. I also do not have a tart pan but I Do own a pie dish. Is there a tea that works well with this treat?

Mmm good question. I think a Spiced Apple Chai tea would be delicious with this recipe
