We made it! Congratulations to us all for making it through 2022! And congrats to me for successfully completing a new year’s resolution… visiting a new tea place each month. (If you thought it was the loosing weight resolution, you are sorely wrong).

For the month of December, my friend took me to Seven Oaks Lavender Farm in Catlett, VA.

We served ourselves to petite cucumber sandwiches, cake, cookies, dip and fruit. Just about everything had a hint of lavender in it. And let me tell you, that dill lavender dip was so good, I purchased the spices for it in their shop.

They had 2 tea flavors available for us to try. An Earl Grey with Lavender and Hibiscus Lavender. Our favorite was the hibiscus lavender since the flavors were subtle and well balanced.

After tea, we participated in wreath making. The tea service was provided by the owner of the house and wreath making was taught by her mother. So it gives the feel of a small family business conducted in their farm house living room. Very cozy.

We did a great job for our first wreath making adventure. Somehow my wreath already had a space waiting at my house.

Happy New Years Eve everyone! Cheers to a wonderful 2023 😊
