Yesterday my sisters threw me and my husband a wonderful baby shower. They made it a Harry Potter theme and included incredible detail. My artistic sister who was in charge of the decorations had never seen the movies or read any of the books. She spent the past month watching every single movie (while taking notes) to perfect the decoration details. For example, the photo above of the teacup is actually similar to the teacups Hagrid has in the movies. Surprisingly the only detail of the shower I didn’t understand until my sister told me!
She also painted the solar scene from the ceiling of the Hogwarts Castle with Dumbledore’s famous (movie) quote.
They created an Owl Emporium so the kids could take home a toy owl as their favors.
For the adults, they made these favor jars with tea and Hershey kisses inside. They also made Butterbeer for guests to enjoy during the shower!
Honestly, I could go on and on about all the detail my sisters put into this Harry Potter baby shower, but also wanted to show you the amazing diaper cake my best friend made.
I am so thankful for the effort my sisters, mom, and best friend put into this baby shower. It really was amazing, wonderful, and full of loving people.
