My husband and I take an annual weekend trip to Ocean City, MD. So The Enchanted Tea Room has been on my radar for many years. And we finally went!
Located about 20 minutes from Ocean City in the cute town of Berlin is this tea room; among many other great stores. (I personally got lost in an antique store and had issues leaving behind this beautiful 1830s tea cup from England)…
After a 6 month closure due to Covid, the tea room recently opened with only one employee. Reservations are staggered and required for Afternoon Tea. In general the food was fantastic. Everything was freshly made that morning; chicken and shrimp salad sandwiches, asparagus and lemon curd wrap, spinach artichoke quiche, scones, strawberry shortcake, raspberry brownie and a raspberry mojito cake.
My only complaint was the sprinkles on the tops of the scones. These scones were amazing! Cran raisin with freshly squeezed oranges and a raspberry white chocolate scone…. why did they need sprinkles on top?
Regardless, the food was amazing and the tea was good. I think it was Harney and Sons tea that was served. I got a Wedding White tea (in honor of our anniversary). White tea with pink roses, lemon and vanilla. My husband got a delicious Green Tea Garden with berry and spices.
Overall, very successful and a Happy Tea-venture.
