Momma’s Gone “Wild” Part 3: Smithfield Farm Bed and Breakfast

Boom! What’s a ladies getaway without a manor house on a 400 acre farm?

My friend got reservations at Smithfield Farm Bed and Breakfast in Berryville, VA. It was such a relaxing set up. You are allowed to wonder around the property. No one is nearby and you can’t hear any traffic. It’s secluded and you have the choice of one of the three rooms in the manor house or a cottage to yourself.

Well it’s ladies weekend, so we went all out with a pink room, big Ole canopy bed, and relaxing rocking chair.

Let’s not forget the giant bathroom! Yep! I took a bath in that relaxing clawed foot bathtub!

The house seemed extremely clean for its age. There were many complimentary beverages (non alcoholic), some snacks and fruit, and a basket of toiletries you may have forgotten. A small community refrigerator was in the hallway, which came in handy for my dinner leftovers. Also, two rooms were set up as parlors, which seemed like really cozy places to read.

In the morning, we had a delicious breakfast. The honey and eggs were made on the farm. Everything else was fresh as well. Let me tell ya… those warm biscuits with honey and butter were on point!

Speaking of the butter, the owner was genius to put it in a tea cup. Look at that! So many uses for a tea cup 😉

And on the subject of tea, they had Stash tea bags. These aren’t too shabby. I even took a Maple Apple Cider tea bag to go. Yum 😊

If you need a relaxing place to go, I definitely recommend Smithfield Farm Bed and Breakfast. The service was friendly and the stay was fantastic.
